Ok I have to vent. I was asked to check a resident out for one of my coworkers so I agreed. Then I found out I had to do it at 730 am. I thought it was a joke at first… Well anyway I get up early to meet the girl I’m checking out and she never shows so I go to her room and knock for a long time. She doesn’t answer so I’m about to write a note and slip it under her door when she walks in. It’s 745 at this time and she says let me find a few things and goes to her room. So i wait and wait and it’s 753 now and she still hasn’t come out. Oh did I mention I didn’t go to bed til 345 and have to be up by 12? Really, really frustrated. O:

Don’t complain about your professor not bein considerate of the fact that you have two kids. It’s your fault that you either had kids in high school or that you waited to go to college. I’m not saying its bad to do these things, because my mom went to college with three kids. But she did it all without complaining. Just think about what other people go through before you start yapping your mouth. The world doesn’t revolve around you.

No matter who you hang out with, whether they are friends of old or friends of new, there will be times when they disappoint you.  There will be times when they say things that are a little hurtful, times when you don’t get along, times when they cancel your plans for no good reason.. But that’s just how people are.  Don’t take it personal.  You do it to other people too.  Just think of how much fun ya’ll have all the other times ya’ll are together!

I’m trying to get to know my residents better.  I miss the sense of community I felt on Level 2 last year ): The other day when it was so cold, for a fleeting second I felt like I was gonna go back to the Level 2 lobby and snuggle in my warm blanket in the lobby with Becky, Audrie, Allison, and Ali…  I really need to stop by BAA’s house.  I miss them.. it’s plain and simple.. and one thing college has taught me is that you need to keep in touch with your friends.  It’s important not to let those relationships fade away…

It’s so important to keep your eyes on God.  Yes, it’s great to have a good church family… but sometimes issues arise between the members of the curch.  When this happens, remember God is in control.  Pray and focus on him.
